Joann Carney, 69, of Midland, died on Wednesday, February 11, 2004, in Odessa. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 14, 2004 at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Midland with Rev. Rodney White, officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2004 at 6:00 pm at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland with a rosary to follow at 7:00 pm. She was born on February 7, 1935, in St. Louis, Missouri and married Jerry Carney.Survivors include two sons, Charles Carney of Midland, and Tim Carney of Webster; four daughters, Kathryn Strong of Richmond, Carol Horton of Houston, Brenda Kerios of Merritt Island, Florida, and Joyce Bogue of San Antonio; one sister, Nancy Aiken of Sweetwater; two brothers, John Goedeke of Lubbock, C. Gregg Goedeke of Seattle, Washington; and many grandchildren neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Carney and her parents, Walter and Anita Goedeke.
