Neva Joan Torres

Neva Joan Torres, 79, of Midland passed away on November 10, 2025.   Funeral services will be held November 19, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland with burial to follow at 2:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery.

Joan was born on May 1, 1946, in Midland, Texas to Frank and Grace Satterfield.  She grew up south of Midland on the family farm.  She was very active in 4-H as a young girl.  Joan attended all of her education in Midland schools and graduated Midland High in 1964.   Joan was a long time member of the Hughes Street Church of Christ.

Joan worked her entire career for and retired from Southwestern Bell and during her employment was a diligent union member.

Joan adored her grandchildren and all of her extended family.  She loved attending family reunions and holidays with family.  For many years she had the sole responsibility for bringing her famous potato salad.  No one could make it like she could.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Grace Satterfield, brother Reid McClellan and husband Bobby Torres. She is survived by her sister Judi Simon, son Chan Price and wife Shana, and grandchildren Brittany, Austin and Grayson Price.

Pallbearers will be nephews Dave Simon, Mike McClellan, Jud Simon, and Jaron Simon, grandnephew Cinco Simon and grandson Austin Price.
