Jo Anne James, 68 of Midland, died on Saturday, June 7, 2003, in a localhospital. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at the St. Stephen's Catholic Church with Rev. James Bridges, officiating. She was born on September 21, 1934, in Merkel, Texas and married LeonardJames on March 6, 1996 in Big Spring, Texas. Mrs. James graduated from Merkel High School in 1952. She had worked forfor ARCO for several years and the First National Bank in Stanton forseveral years before retiring. She was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Leonard James of Midland; two sons, KevinFikes of Odessa and Gary Fikes of Abilene; one daughter, Patricia Holt ofBig Spring; two sisters, Sue Goode of Fort Worth and Glenda West ofTennesee; one brother, Charles Reddin of Tye; and five grandchildren.
