Jo Ann Pyeatt

Jo Ann Pyeatt, 84, of Midland TX passed away on March 31, 2024 surrounded by her family. The family will receive friends on Wednesday April 3, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held on Thursday April 4, 2024 at 1:00pm at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.

Jo was born on August 29^th, 1939 to Bill and Tots Benton in Stephenville, TX.  She graduated from Midland High School in 1957 and a year later married the love of her life Sam, they were married for 59 years and had 3 handsome sons Britt, Garth & Tryon.

Jo was a devoted follower of Jesus all her life and attended the Church of Christ.  She loved raising her 3 sons in Blythe, CA.  After her boys were grown, she moved back to Midland to take care of her mother and her mother-in-law.

Jo loved having her family around and nothing brought her more joy than to have them over to spend time at her house hanging out, swimming and laughing.

Jo is survived by her 3 sons, her 5 grandchildren: Brittany (Chane) Blandford, Deonna (Aaron) Hardaway, Cole Pyeatt, J.R. Pyeatt (Brittany) and Derrick Edmond.  She also has 4 great grandchildren: Casen and Holt Blandford and William and Evie Hardaway.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Tots Benton, her in laws Harold and Winona Pyeatt, and her husband Sam Pyeatt.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Midland Soup Kitchen Ministries.
