Jo Ann Fallin, 74, of Midland, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2008, in Midland. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland with Dr. Gary Dyer, officiating.Jo Ann was born March 1, 1934, in Brownwood, Texas to Mamie and Thomas Grinstead. She married William Curtis Fallin on June 5, 1975 in Midland. Curt preceded Jo Ann in death on January 12, 1987.She grew up and attended schools in Brownwood. She has lived in Midland since 1956. She was employed as a banker with Midland National Bank from 1958 to 1975. She also worked for Midland Welding from 1975 to 2002, when she retired. She enjoyed gardening and reading. Jo Ann was always so much fun and loved being with her family and grandchildren. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Midland.Survivors include stepson, Wendell Fallin of Midland; sister, Maud Ellen Singleton of Brownwood; brother, Gerald T. Grinstead of Brownwood; grandchildren, Adrian and Chris Mertz of Midland, Brittain and Jay Sherrill of Midland, Justin and Michelle Fallin of Midland and Joshua Fallin of Denver, Colorado; great-grandchildren, Wesley and Kaleigh Sherrill, Paris Mertz and Mikalye Fallin. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Frances Adams and Betty Adams, her parents and stepdaughter, Linda Nobles.Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 2304 W Wadley AVE, Midland, TX 79705.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
