Jimmy "Jim" Royce Cahill, 66, of Big Spring, died on Friday, October 5, 2007, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Randy Cotton, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.He was born to Roy and Mozelle Cahill on February 28, 1941, in Detroit, Texas.Jim had been a boy scout in his younger years and had atained the Eagle Scout badge. He graduated from High School in Portales, New Mexico and had served in the United States Army. Jim came to Big Spring in 1962 and married Cheryl Wilbanks on November 8, 1963 in Big Spring, Texas. He owned and operated his own business, Cahill's 4X4 Auto Repair and later worked as a pumper for fourteen years before his retirement. He was a pilot and a scuba diving instructor. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Cahill of Big Spring; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Michelle Cahill and their children, Courtnie Cahill and Nicholas Tillman of San Angelo, and Leland and Shanna Cahill of Geogetown and their children, Dakota and Dylan Cahill; four sisters, Linda Burns and husband, Robert, and Christine Denson all of Tyler, Mary Davison, and Billye Dillard both of Ellensbury, Washington.He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Larry Cahill, Donald Roy Cahill, and Danny Cahill.The family suggests memorials be made to Home Hospice, 600 S.
