Jimmy Dale Boyd, 60, of Midland, left this life to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in Midland. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, April 17, 2009 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland with Rev. Terry Easley, officiating. Interment will be at 3:00pm, Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock.Pallbearers will be Jerry Davis, David Goodwin, Brad Baccus, Ron Bessinger, Rodney Faulk and Roger Robertson.Jimmy was born February 20, 1949, in Lubbock, Texas to Isla Tolliver and Clifford O. Boyd. He graduated from high school in New Deal, Texas and attended Texas Tech University. He married Brenda Roberts Farrar on February 19, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada.Jimmy worked for Hobbs Trailers in Lubbock before transferring to Odessa with Fruehauf Trailer Corporation. He bought out the Odessa Fruehauf Branch in 1992 and started J & B Trailers in May 1992. He extended J & B Trailers to Lubbock in 1993.Jim was a devoted husband and father. His greatest achievement in his life was building his corporation, J & B Trailers and Equipment, Inc. Beyond his company, Jim's favorite hobby was entertaining his family and friends. His passion in life was making everybody happy.Survivors include wife, Brenda of Midland; three sons, Bradley Dale Boyd and wife Shannon of Lubbock, Calvin Farrar and wife Brienne of Sundown and Corey Farrar of Austin; two sisters, Jewell Dean Ford of New Deal and Clara Jean McElroy and husband Joe of Lubbock; and grandchildren, Layken and Landry Farrar of Sundown. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Lane Farrar.
