Jimmy D. McDonald, 74, of Big Spring passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Midland Memorial Hospital, Midland, TX.
Jim was born in Wetumka, Oklahoma, April 19, 1948 to the late James Daniel McDonald and Ruth Lucile Weible. He was one of 7 children. Jim moved a bit during his adult life and had lived in Farmington, New Mexico, New Jersey, and Wyoming, prior to settling in Big Spring 20 years ago. He was retired from Western Container where he worked as a millwright and mechanic. An outdoorsman, Jim loved fishing and hunting.
He is survived by two daughters, Amanda Yellowitz of St. George, Utah, and Tonja Yakovich of Rock Springs, Wyoming; three sisters, Debbie Laursen, Mary Joyce McDonald, and Jeannine; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date in Wyoming.
