Jimmie Wayne Ketcham

Jimmie Wayne Ketcham, age 85, formerly of Santa Rosa, CA, now of Midland, TX passed away on June 24, 2022. He was a graduate of Albuquerque, NM High School in 1955, state champion for NM High School of wrestling, Tongue Twister for Lions Club of Midland, Wood turner for Southwest Association of Turners, and Lifetime member of the Elks of El Paso, TX. Jimmie was a 28-year veteran referee for high school football and basketball all over the state of TX. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Midland, and several years volunteered at the Baptist Crisis Center.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Cleveland and Olga Knight Ketcham and 7 out of 10 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife Sheila and special sister-in-law Diane Baggett; his 3 sisters Doris Jones of Las Vegas NV, Joan Blakely of California, Syble Mortenson of Arcola MO; his son Jimmie Wayne II and 3 grandchildren, Nicole, Jimmie III, and Maggie; his brother-in-law Al Wells; his stepchildren, Gary and KK Wood and family, Mitzi Stone and family, Belinda and James Hunt and family; his extended family Wendy Power and her children, David, Amber, Kirsten and Michelle and Kevin Renfro and their 2 children, Katy and Cameron.

Memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church Chapel at 2:00pm Thursday June 30, 2022, 2104 W. Louisiana Ave in Midland. All memorial contributions may be sent to First Baptist Church Midland.
