Jimmie L. Parrish, 61, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, October 21, 2006 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. R. T. Havener, pastor of First Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.He was born on February 12, 1945, in Amherst, Texas and married Floretta Rau on June 7, 1968 in Big Spring, Texas. Jimmie had worked as an aircraft and high voltage electrician, was self employed doing sealcoating, paving and dump truck work. He was a truck driver. He loved being with his wife, children, grandchildren and his granddogs. He attended the First Assembly of God Church.Survivors include his wife, Floretta Parrish of Big Spring; one daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Will Smith of Big Spring; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Joe and Chrys Parrish of Florence, Kentucky and David and Andrea Parrish of Big Spring; one brother and sister-in-law, J.W. and Shirley Parrish of Garland; six grandchildren, Lauren, Miranda, Aubrey, Bryson, Blake and Ashley and a number of nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Odell Parrish and Todd Parrish and one sister, Laverne Moorhead. The family suggests memorials be made to Chaplain Services of the Wichita Falls Police Department or to First Step Shelter, P.O.
