Jim Ray, 53 passed away peacefully November 12, 2009 at his home in Midland.Survivors include Petey Ray and son Shane Bright, two daughters, Skeeter Shook (Wes) of Weatherford, Texas; Raychel Castle (Scott) of Pasadena; Texas; parents Weldon (Shorty) and Nancy Ray of Anton, Texas; two sisters, Debbie Eppard of Anton, Texas; Kathie Sandorskey (Mike) of Amarillo, Texas; three grandsons, Kelton Shook, Kooper Shook and Anthony Castle; numerous nieces and nephews and hundreds of friends.Jim was born April 20, 1956 in Belen, New Mexico and lived most of his life in Midland, Texas. His greatest passion in life was anything involving horses; cowboying, team roping and Polo were his favorite occupations and pastimes. His favorite job was his most recent one, working for Polo Player Tom Sikes, whom he really admired. Jim Ray was fun-loving and never met a stranger. He ran into someone he knew no matter where he was. He was a practical joker and kept his great sense of humor even throughout his illness. He will be greatly missed along with his e-mails and text messages.The family would like to thank the whole team at Home Hospice, including his nurse Lori Treadwell and Rosie Pegueros, CNA and his private caregivers we fondly call "The A-Team", Adria Seals, Amanda Garcia, Amy Taylor, Anna Gonzales. The A-Team made his decline and passing as comfortable and FUN as possible!!
