Jerry Roman, 70, of Knott, Texas, died on Thursday, November 4, 2004, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 8, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Larry Marshall, minister of the Knott Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.He was born on October 2, 1934, in Big Spring, Texas and married Leona Lancaster on September 10, 1954 in Knott, Texas. She preceded in death on April 12, 1998.Jerry had farmed in the Knott Community. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching sporting events. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Knott; a member of the Knott Volunteer Fire Department and served as a director on the Howard County Fair Board and Farmer's Coop Gin in Knott for many years.Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Leah and Ricky Hughes of Big Spring and Rene' and Joe Paul Beall of Knott; one sister, Joyce Walker of Big Spring; one brother, Bobby Roman of Midland; four grandchildren, Wes Hughes and wife, Kim of Knott, Kara Crenshaw and husband, Bucky of Midland, Jerrod Beall and wife, Stacy of Big Spring, and Stuart Beall of San Angelo and two great grandchildren, Colten Hughes and Hailey Beall.He was also preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Velma Roman.
