Jerry P. Mayo, 56, of Odessa, passed away on June 2, 2009. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at 10 AM at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Jeston Woodruff, officiating.The family will receive friends on Monday, June 8, 2009 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. He was born on December 25, 1952, in Electra, Texas to Roy Raymond Mayo and Bertha Louise Mass. He was a longtime resident of Odessa. Jerry was a mud logger in the oil field for many years, and served our Country in the United States Army for two years. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kristina and TSgt. Fausett, Jarrod W., of Whiteman AFB; one son, SSgt. Jerry Paul Mayo II USMC, of Washington D.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and ABEC McGregory, James USN of USS John C. Stennis(CVN-74), Bremerton, Washington; three grandchildren, James Jr, Emily, and Makayla McGregory; former wife, Connie Hargrave of Midland; his fiance, Felicitas Gonzalez and her four children of Odessa; one brother, Tommy Mayo of Missouri; two sisters, Bertie and Betty Mayo both of Ft. Worth; his favorite nephew, Waylon Mayo of Tyler; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jimmy and Roy Mayo.
