Debra Jean “Jeannie” Bailey
Jeannie Bailey, of Midland, TX, affectionately known as Gram to her family, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Tuesday, February 17, 2026. She was in her favorite morning spot with her dog Rocky on her lap.
Jeannie was born on September 12, 1958, in Big Spring, TX to the late Billie Guy and Nona Smith. She was the youngest of four daughters. She graduated from Midland High School in 1976. She married Bob Bailey, the love of her life. They have been together forever. They have three children Amanda, Lucas, and Rainy.
Jeannie worked for Clayton Williams, Pack and Mail, and a home health care service with her sister, Vickie. She retired shortly after her grandson Kadin Guy was born, to be a full-time Gram.
Jeannie was “tiny but mighty”, stubborn and ornery as the day is long. She is known for her infamous brownies and giving spirit.
Jeannie is survived by the love of her life, Bob Bailey; her daughter Amanda (Tommy) Fioretti; her son, Lucas (Katie) Bailey; and daughter Rainy (Derek) Hilliard; her grandchildren, Kadin Guy, Ryder, Bailyrai Jean, Tatum, Brayden, Anistyn, Davlyn, and Dylan. She is also survived by her sisters Vickie (Ray) Lipps and Gail McCall; her sister-in-law Sharon (Jerry) Allsopp; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeannie is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Nona Smith, her father-in-law Cliff Bailey and beloved mother-in-law Lorene. She is also preceded in death by her sister Sandy Jenkins and brother-in-law Rocky Jenkins.
Pallbearers are Lucas Bailey, Tommy Fioretti, Ryder Fioretti, Cody Harris, Derek Hilliard, Billy Welch, Kadin Welch, and Roger Welch.
Visitation will be held by her family from 6-8 PM on Monday February 23, 2026, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home located at 3800 N. Big Spring, Midland, TX. A service celebrating the life of Jeannie Bailey is scheduled for 10 AM Tuesday February 24, 2026, in the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel.
