Jean McGuire, 72, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, May 19, 2001, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 22, 2001 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Elwin Collom, Home Hospice Chaplain, and Rev. Melvin Daves, Baptist Minister, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on April 12, 1929 in Iredell, Texas. She married Monty McGuire on March 26, 1949 in Seminole. She had lived in Big Spring since 1967 and was a member of the Birdwell Lane Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Monty McGuire, of Big Spring; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Mike Hull of Big Spring; a daughter, Susie Perry of Joaquin, Texas; one brother, George Ellis Daves of Austin, two sisters-in-law, Nina Daves of Austin and Ruby Jewel Daves of Sterling City; four grandchildren, Blake Hull of Amarillo, Lindsay Hull of Bremerton, Washington, Misty Wilson of Snyder and Jaron Perry of Joaquin, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Colter Smith and Justin Wilson, both of Snyder; a foster daughter, Bobbie McIllwain of Uvalde; two foster grandchildren, Regina Williams of Uvalde and Stephen Williams of Jacksonville, Florida and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Jesse Don McGuire, seven brothers and two sisters. The family suggests memorials to Home Hospice, 600 S. Gregg St. Big Spring, Texas 79720.
