Jean Huckaby, 81, of Big Spring, died Sunday, January 5, 2014 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, January 6, 2014 at the funeral home. She was born September 9, 1932 in Rotan, Texas and married Jim Huckaby November 24, 1951 in Rotan, Texas. She was a housewife and mother before becoming an Avon Sales Representative from 1971 to 2005. Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Knous and husband, Richard of Big Spring and Jackie Mullen and partner, Jerri Dixon of Louisville, Kentucky; four granchildren, Melanie Harris and husband, Dwayne, Heather Morris and husband, Doug, Tom Mullen and Marianne Mullen; two great-grandchildren, Krysta Whitehead and Aubrie Harris; and one sister,Billie Brown of Rotan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jim; her parents, Arlon and Verona Cross; and a grandchild, James Mullen.
