Jay Coleman Ewing was born on June 25, 1963 in Austin, TX to Ken & Sue Ewing. He went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 2, 2006 after battling with ALS for several years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 908 Johnston ST, Midland with Pastor Randall McDonald, officiating and Todd Starnes and Paul Chambers, assisting. A visitation was held Monday, December 4, 2006 from 6:00 ? 8:00 PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Jay married Kelly Denise Starnes on September 26, 1987 in Big Lake, TX. The joy of his life was his wife, 3 sons, family, and church family at Calvary Assembly of God. He loved life. No matter how bad he felt, he always had a smile on his face. Jay loved God with all his heart and wanted everyone to know Jesus Christ personally. Jay is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Wayne Ewing. He is survived by his wife, Kelly Ewing, of Midland, thee sons: Jason Ewing of Lubbock, Cole Ewing, and Zachary Ewing of Midland; his mother, Sue Ewing of Midland, 3 sisters: Jan Stone of Winnsboro, Julie Dickie of Weatherford, Jeanne Robinson of Midland; one brother, Jerry Ewing of Midland, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
