I had the great pleasure of working with Jason at Liberty and will always remember him singing Dolly Parton's "Jolene" in the elevator but would change it to "JOLIE" for me. He always knew how to make those around him laugh and smile. To the parents and family of Jason - May the peace which comes from the memories of the love shared, comfort you all now and in the days ahead. Myhearts go out to you in your time of sorrow. To Charlie - Your father loved you dearly and everytime I came back to visit Liberty, you were the very very 1st topic that ever came up and he always showed me a new picture of you that he kept in his wallet. He was so extremely proud of you, had an endless love for you and wanted all the very best for you. Remember him in your heart always.

Jason was a ball of laughter! I went to lunch with Tucker and his group a couple times and every time we went he would make me laugh. To his son - your father always talked of you and loved you dearly. He was very proud of you! Take care of your mother and I know you will grow up to be a great man like your father....he was the life of the party!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Jason was a wonderful and delightful young man that I will miss sincerely. I am so saddened by his short life. I worked with Jason at The Liberty Group and he was such fun. My heart and prayers are with his parents, siblings. I will miss him very, very much. May the Lord continue to bless and keep you during your period of bereavement. He was a very nice and joy-filled young man. He loved his son and spoke of him often. It was a pleasure to have known him and worked with him. I will miss him also. Absent in the body means to be present with the Lord.
Karen S Dunlap left a message on November 11, 2009:
I loved Jason like a son! There wasn't a day that I spoke with him that he did not share the love he had for his family. There was a great and special relationship he had with his grandmother (who spoke with him frequently) and his son Charlie (that was the love of his life). Jason had a smile that could melt even the hardest of hearts and it was very difficult to stay mad at him for any great length of time...he was truly charming. He loved his soulful music,, low-riding in his cadillac and any type of food that was free..smiling. He was his own-self man and yet he treated all he met with respect. Even in his most difficult of times he was at peace that all would be well. My heart hurts...but I trust that although he is absent of his body, he is present with the Lord. May this thought bring you peace. Charlie always know that your father loved you more than any breath that he took on this earth. And that he did not leave you willingly. It goes without saying that he would have sacrificed his life for you. Make him proud! May you all find comfort in the fact that Jason left a footprint - an indelible footprint on this earth that gives credence to the love he received from each of you. Rest in Peace my sweet child! - I love you!

I worked with Jason at Liberty for a little over a year. I could always count on a smile and that infectious laugh from Jason. Jason was a fun loving and warm hearted person that will be dearly missed here in the physical realm. There are not enough folks like you Jason. Your Mom and Dad did a great job bringing up such a lovely young man who was a loving and devoted father to his son Charlie. My heart and prayers go out to your family. Go in peace Jason. We were all blessed to have known you. "When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight."
Phira Weaver left a message on November 11, 2009:
I met Jason on my first day at Liberty, down in the smoking section...as nervous as I was about joining a completely different Work family, he made me feel at ease with his jokes and contagious laugh. He used to always come up to the front desk and say to me: "So, tomorrow i'm expecting a dozen choc chip cookies, we clear on that?" and walk out the door for the day...lol...which always made the rest of my day go by faster. Jason, you were a great person and an easy guy to be friends with. You will always be remembered and missed.

Jason Stevens was a good-hearted soul. For 2 years, I had the opportunity to get to know him at Liberty and I wish others had the chance. Charlie, be good to your mother, love her and respect her. Remember your father as a good and caring man who had love for others for no reason whatsoever.

I met Jason at The Matress Firm one night. My wife, grandaughter and me were going to get an ice cream next door and we just popped in to llok at matresses. From that, it became a personal and working relation that was always a joy for me. I brought him to The Liberty Group and had the pleasure of working with him until earlier this year. God bless Jason's heart and those hearts of the family and friends he left behind. He was a great kid.

Jason was a very smart man who loved to have fun. I enjoyed working with him and am sorry to see his life end so soon. He always had a good story to share. The most important person in his life was his son Charlie. He frequently spoke of how much he loved him and how much he enjoyed being part of his life. Jason also shared with me that he had accepted Christ in his life. I know he did not always act like he was a Christian but I am glad to know that he will be spending enternity in God's kingdom.
