Janie Pherigo, 79, of Coahoma, died on Thursday, November 10, 2005, at the Home Hospice House of Odessa. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.The family will recieve friends from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.She was born on August 30, 1926, in Ira, Texas to Newell and Ollie Beaird and married Larry Truman Pherigo on January 20, 1945 in San Diego, California.Janie graduated from Ira High School. She was a member of the Coahoma Church of Christ.Janie had a servant's heart, ministering to others asowner of Big Spring's "Jane's Flowers and Gifts" for 12 years.She often said she had a song in her heart and used her beautiful voice to the glory of God.She had a heart forall children by driving aschool bus,sponsoring school events and often feeding the whole football team.She was a daily commentator for the "Coahoma News" on a local radio station.Her greatest joy was serving herfriends and family.Janie nevermet a stranger.She was gifted with making everyone feel they were special and her "favorite."She will be missed by her loving husband of nearly 61 years, herchildren and"other children." "MamaGo" will live on in the hearts of her precious grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many, many family members and friends.Survivors include her husband, Larry Truman Pherigo of Coahoma; five sons, Larry Pherigo and wife, Judy of Coahoma, Bobby Pherigo of Abilene, Chuck Pherigo of Coahoma, Keith Pherigo and Steven Pherigo and wife, Arlene of Coahoma; one daughter, Linda Denton and husband, Steve of Midland; one brother, Bob Beaird and wife, Carla of El Cajon, California; fourteen grandchildren, Denette Tennell and Tony, Melissa Neves, Dellamy Kiefer, Leah Gordon and Brian, Leslie Pherigo, Andra Pherigo, Matthew Neves, Greg Pherigo, Kelley Pherigo, Jemme Svobado and Adam, Laura Pherigo, Fara Pherigo, Wesley Pherigo and Erica Pherigo and seven great grandchildren, Elliot, Evan, Eric, Aden, Nikki, Brylea and Lexi. She was preceded in death by one son, Dean Pherigo, two grandchildren, Allan Pherigo and D'Ann Dick and her parents.The family suggests memorials be made to Medina Children's Home, 21300 State Highway 16 N, Medina, Texas 78055; Abilene Christian Children's Home, 1202 Estates Drive, Abilene, Texas 79602 or Home Hospice House, 903 N.
