Janice Ann Branch was born on May 24, 1950 in Midland, TX to Walter Austin and Verna Viola Branch. October 10, 2022, Janice peacefully transitioned into Heaven in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones in Midland. She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Mauldin, siblings Ola Mae, Glenda, JT, Dorothy, and Hulene. Her legacy continues through her sons, Jerry, Jason and his wife Monica, and her daughter Jennifer. Grandchildren include Andrew, Chelsi, Chase, Stevie, Devonte, and Charissa and their spouses along with 16 great-grandchildren. She was also loved by her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends.
Janice was a hardworking, loving single mother who lived her life for her three children. Her decision to become a caregiver came easy because of her loving and kind nature. For several years she owned a 24 hour private care facility for the elderly.
She loved music and dancing, especially to Billy Ocean. Caribbean Queen always made her perk up, pucker her lips, stick out her butt and dance away. Janice enjoyed time with her friends at home, gatherings or a night out of fun. She loved Lifetime Movie Channel and could not stand to miss her favorite “soaps.” The simple things in life gave her joy.
Her pride and joy came from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she was honored to have in her family tree.
Her greatest asset was her empathy. She felt the emotions of others and her surroundings. At times she would cry watching touching TV shows or even commercials. This is a trait that she certainly passed to her family.
Through the 30 year experience Janice had caring for others, she was prepared to transition from this life on Earth. Her peace in her final days was the last and greatest form of empathy she could give her loved ones. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all of the doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals for the care they provided Janice.
