Jane Channing De Nyse, 99, of Midland, Texas, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Manor Park. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2015 at 4:30 PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel with Rev. Tyler Lunberry, son in law, of Hyderabad, India.Jane was born on September 21, 1916 to James Gordon Channing and Louise Muller Channing in Staten Island, NY. Jane had four brothers and one sister. In 1942, Jane married Louis Frederick DeNyse, her husband for 66 years. They raised their family in Ridgewood, NJ. They retired to Florida. In 1985, they moved to Manor Park and were one of the first residents.Jane loved singing and dancing throughout her life. She sang on the radio, auditioned and was selected to be a member of the Rockettes as well as writing, directing, and acting in plays for theatre in New Jersey. Jane was an assistant to the Chaplain at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ and also volunteered as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Midland Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and Midland Community Theatre. In later years, Jane was very accomplished at needlepoint and crochet, a member of the Senior Bowling League and the En Amie Book Review Club. Jane was a very caring and loving person to everyone she met.She is survived by her son, Louis DeNyse, Jr., of Kernersville, NC; daughter, Carol (Dee) Morris and husband Paul of Midland; daughter, Georgene Lunberry and husband Tyler of Hyderabad, India; ten grandchildren, Dawn Herbert and husband Rick, Deanne Puglise and husband James, Dara DeNyse, Darla Chandler and husband Terry, Tamara Beachum and husband Graham, Amy Atnipp and husband Marc, Paige Worley and husband David, Megan Korman and husband Phillip, Trent Lunberry and wife Katie, and Dana Lunberry and husband Dev; and sixteen great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers, Gordon, Richard, Robert, and Walter Channing; one sister, Edna Channing.Donations can be made to Manor Park or charity of your choice.,
