On Friday, November 27, 2009, Jamie Bennett departed this world to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Everyone touched by his loving smile, kind heart and his will to overcome adversity with grace is truly saddened. The world is a better place for having his presence here but today we have gained a true angel to watch over us.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at the Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Binnix, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.Jamie was born to Linda and Eugene (Bo) Bennett on February 9, 1963, in Big Spring. He married the love of his life, Beverly Erwin on April 8, 1995.Jamie's love for life, his family, friends and the love of the Lord was something to be admired thru all the trails he had to ovecome during his life. He always had a smile on his face, a kind word to say and a laugh that would brighten your day.The love that he and Beverly shared was the truest form of love that anyone could have and his life was complete with her. Together they were one and the best of friends.Jamie is survived by his wife, Beverly Bennett of Big Spring; his father, Bo (Eugene) Bennett of Sand Springs; one sister, DeNeise Coates of Sand Springs; two step sons, Rodney Erwin of Fairfax, California and Stephen Erwin of San Francisco, California; three nieces and nephews, Skyler, Brody and Brissa all of Sand Springs; four grandchildren, Emma, Adam, Jesse and Wyatt Martinez all of Fairfax, California; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and his furry companion, Rascal.Jamie was preceded in death by his loving mother, Linda Bennett and is in her loving arms now.Pallbearers will be Tommy Tharp, Jim Whisker, Harvey Keel, Ricky White, Randy Bennett and Kyle Meers.The family requests memorials be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O.
