Mills, James W., 87, of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, July 11, 2000, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, July 14, 2000, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with with Rev. Roger Huff, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. He was born on June 27, 1913 in Kansas City, Kansas and married Novie Blackwell on June 22, 1940 in Houston, Texas. He came to Big Spring in 1975 from Clovis, New Mexico. He had farmed and was working in construction in the oilfield, as a welder in Forsan, when he retired. Dad loved his daughters-in-law and sons-in-law very much. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. We all loved him dearly. Mr. Mills was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Novie Mills of Big Spring; six sons and daughters-in-law, James A and Andrea Mills, Johnny and Linda Mills, Richard and Loyce Mills, Kerry and Carolyn Mills and Mark and Susie Mills all of Big Spring and Billy and Kim of Sundown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Danny Roberts of Big Spring and Laurie and Russ Hesson of Forsan; 26 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Mills, two brothers and three sisters. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.,
