James Raleigh Drury, 32, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, June 13, 2001, in a truck accident. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 16, 2001, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Dr. Claude Craven, retired Baptist minister, officiating. He was born on December 23, 1968 in Charleston, West Virginia. Mr. Drury had returned to Big Spring four months ago and was a truck driver for Clyde McMahon Concrete. He loved basketball and played every evening with the kids in the neighborhood. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Kim Hargrove of Big Spring; two daughters, Kelsey Drury and Danielle Drury both of Big Spring; three step daughters, Amanda Marie Lasater, Misty Jo Lasater and Jayme Myrle Lasater all of Big Spring; one granddaughter, Kaylynn Culver of Big Spring; his mother, Janet Drury of Greenville, South Carolina; three brothers, Robert Volker of Big Spring, Gary Drury of Phoenix, Arizona and Edward Drury of Memphis, Tennessee; three nephews and one niece. The family suggests memorials to the YMCA, 801 Owens, Big Spring, Texas 79720 or the Boys Club, 212 E. 3rd, Big Spring, Texas 79720.
