James William Pruitt passed away on July 27 in Midland at the age of 47, while quietly enjoying a cigar on his patio. He was born in Midland on May 25, 1966 and attended Midland High and then graduated from Assembly in Christ Academy in Midland.On November 18, 1986, he married the love of his life, Darla Jeaneen Gunter. They were married 28 years. Will owned Diamond Tech Concrete Cutting and Core Drilling, working in west Texas for over 25 years.Will was happiest grilling steaks on the patio and entertaining. He was a great friend, available to help others day or night, often surprising them with gifts from his travels. Will was a hopeless romantic. Holidays were his specialty, cards and gifts to his wife and children were always in abundance. (Rose petals were his signature.)Will is survived by his mother Margret McGraw of Midland, wife Jeaneen Pruitt, daughter Amber LaShay Pruitt and son Matthew Jordan Pruitt, grandsons Noah Ivan Pruitt and Mason Jordan Pruitt, a brother Earl Warner, sisters Marie Warner and Mary Young, and his late father Jerry Lynn Pruitt. Services will be held at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland Friday August 2, 2013 at 10:00 am.
