James \Jimmy\ Pedigo, 82, of Big Spring, died Saturday, March 16, 2013, in the local veterans home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Bob Heneghan, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the funeral home.He was born October 30, 1930, in Monahans, Texas and married Frances Janelle Riggins February 12, 1954 in Big Spring, Texas. She preceded him in death July 22, 2009.Jimmy was raised in Big Spring and attended Big Spring schools and Howard College. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a gang pusher at Cosden Refinery for 38 years, retiring in 1991. Jimmy enjoyed metal and wood crafting, story telling and he loved children.He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and was in charge of the church's bus ministery for a number of years.Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Hunt and husband, Jim; one son, Jim Bill Pedigo and wife, Kayla all of Big Spring; four grandchildren, Charity Wheeler and husband, Matt of Moore, Oklahoma, Jimmy Loftis and wife, Krystal of Midland, Grady Pedigo of Big Spring and Joshua Pedigo of LubbocK; eight great-grandchildren, Stefany and Brookelyn Wheeler and Dyllan, Kiara, James Loftis, Savannah and Daniel Kremer and Christopher Cannady; four brothers, D. V. Pedigo of Midland, Knox Pitzer and Kenneth Pitzer both of San Marcus and Benny Pitzer of Montgomery; two sisters, Elizabeth Beck of Ranger and June Pedigo of Strawn.He was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Blue Loftis. The family suggests memorials be made to First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 1400 S.
