James ?Jim? Walker Clark, 72, of Midland, passed away on December 22, 2006 at a local hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Crestview Baptist Church with Dr. John Gerlach, officiating. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.James was born June 17, 1934 in Lubbock, Texas to Cleo and Laurel Clark. He married Stacia Scott in Lockett, Texas on August 5, 1961.He grew up in Lubbock and attended schools there. Later he attended West Texas State University where he obtained his B. S. and M. E. Degree?s. James joined the Army after graduation and served four years. He taught PE, business, and social studies at Kermit schools for many years. After retirement, he moved to Midland with his wife where they became members of Crestview Baptist Church. He was involved in Sunday school and served as a deacon, he loved working with the children at church in various recreational activities. James loved woodworking and his only granddaughter, Claire.Survivors include his wife, Stacia Clark of Midland; a son Kyle Clark and wife D?Ann of Lubbock; a daughter, Angie Jordan and husband Jeff of Ft. Worth; a granddaughter, Claire Clark of Lubbock; four brothers, Bill Clark of Marshall, Robert Clark of Lubbock, Mike Clark of Georgetown, and David Clark of Lubbock; one sister, Beth Hart of Lubbock and a host of friends and relatives.He was preceded in death by his parents.In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Crestview Baptist Church Building Fund, 3300 Thomas St. Midland, TX, 79703 or to a charity of your choice.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
