James Glen Morris, 66, of Midland, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 2, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel.
James was born September 13, 1954, to Merrilyn (McKinney) and Curtis Leon Morris in Littlefield, Texas.
He was a lifelong carpenter and building contractor having started out at a very young age by sweeping out new houses for his dad.
He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Laverne (Morris) Russell and husband, Raymond, and his brother, Charles William Morris and wife, Susan; three nieces, Rhonda (Russell) Walker and husband, David, Renee Russell and Rebecca (Morris) Wilson; two nephews, John Morris and Darryl Russell; four grand nieces, Ashley Walker, Amber (Walker) Hernandez and husband, Manuel, Raelynn (Westbrook) Bush and husband, Tyler, and Beatrice Morris; eight grand nephews, Kedryn Gordon and wife, Marissa, Clayton Westbrook and wife, Kaleena, Spencer Westbrook, Brady Wilson, Blake Wilson, William Morris, George Morris and Bobby Morris; two great grand nieces, Carter Renee Gordon and Annalise Marie Hernandez and one great grand nephew, Wyatt Westbrook.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Curtis Leon Morris, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Darryl Russell, Kedryn Gordon, David Walker, James Hughes, Harry Mueller, Charles Roberts and Brady Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Pearcy, Larry Solis, Ray Sale and John Morris.
