James C. "Jimmy" Dingler, 62, of Midland, died on Monday, October 17, 2005 at the Hospice Inpatient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland with Pastor Bob Miller, of Dominion Outreach Ministries Center, officiating. Mr. Dingler was born on January 13, 1943, in Dallas, Texas and lived in Smith Co., Texas from 1945 to 1949. He married Sandra Meacham on April 14, 1962 in Pecos, Texas. Jimmy graduated from Texas Tech University in 1965 with a BS in Agricultural Economics. Mr. Dingler worked as an electrician on many commercial construction sites all over the U.S.He was a very compassionate and generous man, always placing others needs above his own. He loved his wife, children , grandchildren, brother and sister. James was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and had been a member of the Rotary Club of Midland.Survivors include his wife, Sandra Dingler of Midland; two sons and daughters-in-law; Darin Dingler and wife Laura of Hollister, California, Derek Dingler and wife Debbie of Charleston, South Carolina; a sister, Fannette Vinson of Midland; a brother, William M. "Bill" Dingler IIIand wife Sonnye of Midland; his mother-in-law, Joyce Meacham of Midland; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Pete & Marilyn Meacham of Grapevine; granddaughters, Ashley Dingler a student at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA and Torie Dingler of Charleston, South Carolina; a grandson, D.J. Dingler, of Charleston, South Carolina; nephews, Marc Dingler and wife Kari of Flowermound; David Vinson and wife Frankie, Clifford Vinson and wife Brenda all of Midland; neices, Kim Doan and husband Kevin of Midland, Karen and husband Rick Darancou of Midland, cousin, Claude M. Cox of Midland and maternal aunt Jeanette Burnett of Grand Prairie and paternal aunt Ruth Green of Sugarland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Marie Dingler.
