James Arnold "Jim" Clary, 78, of Stanton, died on Saturday, February 14, 2009, at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 20, 2009 at the Stanton Community Center. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2009, at the Harpersville Cemetery in Breckenridge. He was born on July 26, 1930, in Breckenridge, Texas. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He came to Stanton in 1962 from Abilene and owned and operated Clary Tire Company for many years. Survivors include three sons, Duane Clary of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Alan Clary of Rosenburg, Oregon and Michael Clary of Midland; one step son, Clifton Price of Lenorah; one daughter, Carrie Lovett of Midland; one sister, Bernice Chandler of Odessa; one brother, Donald Clary of Odessa; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George R. Clary and Vergie Wells Clary; two sisters, Bertie Segler and Mildred Roberts; two brothers, Johnny Clary and Jimmy Green.
