James A. Wilson, Jr., 77, of Stanton, died on Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Friday, August 31, 2001 at First Baptist Church with Rev. David Harp, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. He was born on November 19, 1923 in Colorado City, Texas and married Flora Dee Cook on July 21, 1942 in Stanton, Texas. She preceded him in death on January 22, 1999. He retired from CRMWD as a pump station supervisor. Mr. Wilson was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a Staff Sergeant with the 89th Company Squadron and a member of the headquarters of the United States Air Corps during the European Theater. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Barnhill of Stanton; two sons, Bob Wilson and Bill Wilson both of Stanton; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Arrangements under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home.,
