Jacky Romine, 68, of Big Spring, passed away January 2, 2005 at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, after receiving a second liver transplant on Decemberr 17, 2004. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 6, 2005, at the 14th and Main Church of Christ in Big Spring with Larry Marshall, minister of the Knott Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family at their home, 704 Boykin Rd. in Big Spring. Born on December 3, 1936 in Ada, Oklahoma, Jacky was one of four boys born to John Tom Romine and Myrtle Mae Hudson Romine. Jacky attended Knott High School. He worked at Cosden for seven years and was also a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Knott Church of Christ. Jacky served on the FSA (ASCS) County Committee for twelve years, the Grady School Board for twelve years, the Martin County Fresh Water District for eight years, and was a Tarzan Farmers Co-op Gin Board member from 1999 to present. On January 20, 1957, Jacky and Donna Lee Mitchell were married in Big Spring, Texas. Jacky was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Donna and their two children, son, Jacky Dean Romine and wife, Toby of Lenorah and daughter, Debbie Romine Forester and husband, R. J. of Fort Worth; three grandchildren, Sydney Forester of Fort Worth, Cole Romine of Midland and Cheyenne Davis and husband, Michael of San Angelo; one step-grandson, Brent Forester of Fort Worth; three brothers, Herschel Romine and wife, Lou Ellen of Gravette, Arkansas, Tom Romine and wife, Lucille of Lenorah and Gary Romine and Christy of Big Spring; as well as many nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Cole Romine, Orin Romine, Larry Romine, R. J. Forester, Stan Smith and Rex Zant. Honorary pallbearers will be Dick Nichols, Bud Hughes, Bruce Parker and Richard Parker.The family suggests meorial be made to the donor's favorite charity.,
