Dear Theresa and Family, I am so sorry for your loss, and our prayers are with you all. I was shocked when I heard Jackie had passed away. The years I spent at Barber Glass were great, and I talk to many people about the crazy times we all went through. I still feel the sting from the times Jackie hit me with putty balls when we had putty fights. Then on rare occasions when we had ice or snow, we would use old windshields to sled on, many times headlong into the middle of 3rd St. Working after a hailstorm was never fun, but working with Jackie always was. Jackie and I have crossed paths many times in the past and it was always good to see him and visit. We all lost a good man, but I know he is in better Hands, and we'll have a good ol' family reunion someday soon. I'm still shocked. Please accept mine and Dee's heartfelt condolences, and we'll continue to pray for you and all of your family. Sincerely, Johnnie Sevey

I happened upon this notice and my heart goes out to the family of Jackie Barber. Though I do not know the family I want to convey my sympathy and share with you the thought from the bible that comforts me at times such as these. Our heavenly Father Jehovah is a God of love and he hates to see us in pain. This thought is supported at Revelation 21:3,4, where it says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore". I personally cannot wait for that time to come. Also we await the fulfillment of John 5:28 where it promises that all those in the memorial tombs will come out. What a time of celebration when we will be crying tears of joy instead of sadness. I hope that you find these scriptures comforting as I have when coping with the loss of a loved one. I again am sorry for your loss. With sympathy, Jo Edwards
