Jackie Ann Cypert, 57, of Midland, Texas passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 after a courageous yearlong battle with lung disease.Jackie was born July 6, 1955 to Jack and Imogene Cowan in Big Spring, Texas. She was educated in the Stanton school system. Later in life she went back to school and graduated the LVN program at Howard College.She worked as a Home Healthcare nurse for about 20 years until the fall of 2011 when she took a sabbatical to care for her Mother in Imogenes final days. Jackie was a strong patient advocate and took very good care of her patients.Jackie is survived by her husband Ron Cypert; an uncle Bernie (Pat) Keaton; brother, Robert Cowan (Ingrid); stepmother, Oralee Cowan; aunt Mary Belle Keaton; stepson, Jeremy Cypert; and her two little urchins, Lucy and Penny.A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland with Rev. Jan Reed, officiating.Special thanks to Drs. John McKenna, Staton Awtrey, Donald Crochett, all the nurses at Midland Memorial, Bernie and Pat Keaton and Tom and Rosemary Cypert, all of whom took such good care of Jackie before, during and after her stays in the hospital.
