     Jack Barber, 80 of Stanton, died on Thursday, August 7, 2003, in a Lubbock hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Monday, August 11, 2003 at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton.     He was born on August 15, 1922, in Dekalb, Texas and married Rowena Higgins in Bastrop, Texas. Mr. Barber worked for Franklin and Son and was also a grave digger for Gilbreath Funeral Home.      He was a Baptist.     Survivors include wife, Rowena Barber of Stanton; two sisters, Ethel Dagherty of Stanton, Hazel Hilliard of Hobbs, New Mexico; three brothers, Troy Barber, Curtis Barber, J.W. Barber all of Midland, step son, John Higgins of Midland, Step daughter, Shirley Henry of Stanton; and several nieces & nephews.      He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tim Barber .Arrangements under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home of Stanton, Texas.,
