Iris M. Phillips, 82, of Big Spring, died Saturday, October 6, 2012, in a Midland hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Lone Wolf Cemetery in Mitchell County, with Rev. Terry Moffett, officiating.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.Iris was born March 25, 1930, in Mart, Texas to the late James Robert and Levie Clara (Tomascik) Isbell. She married Willie Phillips September 1, 1948 in Stanton. He preceded her in death November 2, 1994.Iris was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved serving wherever she could at church and was known for the candy wreaths that she made each Christmas for the West Side Community Day Care Center.Survivors include two sons, John Phillips and wife, Carol of Decatur, Alabama, and Ray Phillips of Big Spring; two daughters, Beth Peters and Martha Watson both of Big Spring; nine grandchildren, Tammy Roberts, Cherish Delgado and husband, Mario, Lacey Phillips, Tyler Phillips and fiance, Kristy Arseneaux, Joshua Peters and wife, Kathleen, John Peters and wife, Tiffany, Jeremiah Peters, Sean Peters and wife, Valerie, and Brandy Watson; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Mitchell and husband, Walter of Colorado City, and numerous nieces and nephews.She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Phillips, and one brother, W.
