Iris Leona Hammond, 92 of Midland, passed away on November 17, 2023. Services will be at 2:00pm Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland, TX.
Iris was born July 2, 1931 in Tulsa, OK to Jack and Mary Sherman. She was married twice. First to William O’Brate. Three children were born of that marriage, Barbara, Bill and Gary. That union ended in divorce.
She later married Lawrence Earl Hammond and had two children, Robin Sue Hammond and Shelly Hammond Eaton.
Iris is survived by her children Barbara, Bill, Gary, Robin and Shelly. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Lone Star Animal Sanctuary or the charity of your choice.
