Iona G. Bruccini, 84, of Big Spring, died on Monday, April 2, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Bruccini will lie in state Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Wintz Funeral Home Chapel, in Hartington, Nebraska. Interment will be at Wynot Cemetery in Wynot, Nebraska.She was born on January 6, 1923, in Bristow, Nebraska.Iona was the daughter of Andrew and Emma Anderson, and was raised in rural northeastern Nebraska. She had lived in Wynot, Nebraska for a number of years and then lived in Whittier, California until coming to Big Spring in 1977. She had worked for over 21 years at Wal-Mart, where she was still employed at the time of her death. She was a Lutheran.Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Gay and Pete Rosenbaum of Big Spring, and Linda and James Norton of Fresno, California; two grandsons, Chuck Rosenbaum of Big Spring, and Chris Rosenbaum of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild; her parents; two brothers, Axel C. Anderson and Hans M. (Pete) Anderson; three sisters, Ethel R. McClellan, Thelma M. Burrus and Bonnie L. Olsen.
