Ina Jackson Stewart, 86, of Big Spring, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, in an Odessa hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Mark Lindsey and Rev. Dwayne Wheat, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, March 11, 2013, at the funeral home.She was born April 11, 1926, in Lamesa, Texas and married H. D. \Hunka\ Stewart, Jr. September 7, 1944 in Lamesa, Texas. He preceded her in death June 22, 1981.Ina was raised in Lamesa and graduated from Lamesa High School. She moved to Big Spring in 1944 and had worked for Big Spring ISD for 24 years. She was a 50 year member of East 4th Street Baptist Church, where she was a longtime Sunday school teacher, and was currently a member of First Baptist Church. Ina was a 64 year member of Chapter 67 Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron in 1991, was a member of the Social Order of Beauceant and had been a sponsor for the Big Spring Order of Rainbow For Girls. She also was a member of RSVP volunteering many hours at various locations. Ina was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.Survivors include two sons, Howard Stewart and wife, Vicki and Jimmy Stewart and wife, Sandy all of Big Spring; five grandchildren, Quintinn Stewart, Stephanie Piercefield and husband, Michael, Misty Cormack and husband, Max, Ricky Stewart and Justin McCullough and wife, Maura; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.She was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Brown.
