Ima Dell Hayworth Williams, 73, of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, September 20, 2005, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, September 23, 2005 at the Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Cotton, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.She was born on April 26, 1932, in Granbury, Texas and married Robert Floyd Williams on June 18, 1949 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1995.Ima Dell came to Big Spring in 1934. She worked as a secretary in the water department for the City of Big Spring, as the principal's secretary at Goliad Junior High and then 20 years as vocational secretary at Big Spring High School. She was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church and had taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for over 50 years. She was a member of the Rosebud Garden Club, the Scenic Mountain Medical Center Volunteers, the Retired Teacher's Association and served 14 years with the PTA.Survivors include three daughters, Lila Adkins, Gayla Williams, and Lana Piercefield and husband, Gene all of Big Spring; a sister, Patsy Grigg of Big Spring; a brother, Bobby Hayworth of Amherst; six grandchildren, Leslie Adkins and wife, Kellie of Houston, Larissa Adkins and Landon Adkins both of Lubbock, Kyle Piercefield of Big Spring, Michael Piercefield and wife, Desirae of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Matthew Piercefield of Windsor, Colorado and three great grandsons. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Lila Hayworth; four brothers, Marlin Hayworth, Billy Hayworth, L. D. Hayworth and Dennis Wade Hayworth, Jr. and one sister, Rose Medlin.
