Howell Winfred Pardue left this world on April 28, 2018 to be in the presence of his Lord and Savior. Howell was born on December 28, 1935 to Howell Whitfield Pardue and Helen Paulette Wyatt in Jackson Parish, Louisiana.He married Nelda Jean Whitmore in Midland, Texas on January 29, 1960. Howell and Jeanne had two daughters Darla Suzette (Baccus) and Julie Jeree (Golden). After completing his service in the Air Force, Howell took a job working at Ray Geophysical, launching his career in the geophysical business. As one of the data processing pioneers in the business, Howell gained the respect of his peers, many of whom were highly educated, intelligent men, and received many honors from his peers in the geophysical industry. In 1976, Howell went to work for Dawson Geophysical, where he proudly contributed to the success of the company for 40 years.Above all though, Howell was a devoted family man and spent his life investing in the lives of his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howell Whitfield, Helen Paulette, and stepmother Maxine Pardue and by his brother Samuel Glen Pardue.He is survived by his wife, Jeanne, and his daughters Darla Baccus and Julie Golden and husband Greg and 6 grandchildren, Jacob Baccus and wife Kali, David Baccus and wife Melissa, Benjamin Baccus, Hallye Barnett and husband David, Trinity Golden, Cassidy Hartung and husband Josh. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Harper Barnett, Beckett Baccus, Everly Baccus, and Sarah Baccus, and by his sister, Nanette Pierce and brother, Bill Pardue, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.Pallbearers will be Darrell Edwards, Joby Fussell, Steve Jumper, Heath North, Colton Pardue and Ruston Pardue. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 6:00-8:00pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Funeral services will be held at Mission Dorado Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas officiated by Brother Bob Bratcher and Pastor Rusty Allen of Menard Cowboy Church, on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 2:00pm, with interment to follow at 4:30pm at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton Texas.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
