Holli Dian Jones, age 65, passed away of natural causes on December 4, 2018 at Midland Memorial Hospital. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, December 10, 2018 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland, Texas.Holli was born in Post, Texas on November 12, 1953 to Hal and Jean Jones. She grew up in Post and Jal, New Mexico when her family moved there in 1969. She was briefly married to Steven Hammond when she was 17. That marriage didn’t work out so she chose to be a Jones again. She lived in Houston for three years. There she started working in the title and abstract business. She worked in that business for thirty years in Houston and in Midland when she moved there in 1977. Her last employment was with Plains Marketing in Midland where she worked as a dispatcher.Holli loved her family, all of her family, more than anything. She was kind and generous (sometimes to a fault) to her family and friends. You could always count on Holli to provide entertainment with her “duck talk” and many other accents. She loved to read and watch movies. She loved history, languages, and was always eager to delve into peoples’ last names and their histories. Holli was a memorable person to everyone she met. She lived life on her own terms and will be terribly missed.Holli is survived by her sister, Mara Jones Rundell of Glassboro, New Jersey; her brother, Johny Jones and his wife Leslie of Jal, New Mexico; her nephews Hal Jacob Jones of Midland, Ethan Rundell of Glassboro, New Jersey; her nephew Owain Rundell of Glassboro, New Jersey; her niece, Holly Jade Jones Aguirre of Jal, New Mexico; her great niece Emma Aguirre; her adopted nephew Bernie Black; and her beloved six cats and two dogs. She is preceded in death by her father, Hal Jones; her mother, Jean Jones; and her best friend of forty five years, Nancy Knight. The family would like to express their gratitude towards Nelly Burgos, Melissa Barnard, and Cynthia Johnson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Midland Humane Coalition.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
