Hiram B. Croker, 77, of Big Spring, died on Friday, March 21, 2003, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Monday, March 24, 2003, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with, Rev. Greg Taylor, pastor of Miracle Revival Center, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.Hiram was born on April 18, 1925 in Comanche, Texas and married Corinne Faye Whitaker on November 1, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas. She preceded him in death on November 18, 2000. Mr. Croker came to Big Spring in 1965 and had worked as an auto mechanic for Whites for six years and then for KMart for 4 years.He was a Baptist. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He also served in the Navy and then the Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from the Air Force after serving over twenty years in the military.Survivors include two step-sons, Bill Samples of Pagosa Springs, Colorado and Douglas Maples of Fort Worth; one sister, Audy Lee Nelson of Jacksboro; one brother, Bill Croker of San Angelo; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and three sisters.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home of Big Spring.,
