Helen Sanders, 90, of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 10, 2010 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Randy Cotton, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.She was born on September 8, 1920, in Lavernia, Texas and married James W. Sanders on July 4, 1941 in Alpine, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1981.Helen came to Big Spring in 1954 from Marathon and had worked at Walls Factory Outlet and for Coahoma Indepentent School District for a number of years. She also delivered meals with the Meals on Wheels organization.She was a member of Trinity Baptist ChurchSurvivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Gloria Sanders of Coahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Larry Tubb of Big Spring; five grandchildren, Beverly Silen and husband, Daniel of Big Spring, Karen Dearick and husband, David of Canton, Rodney Tubb of Royce City, James Sanders and wife, Michele of Coahoma and Sue Raines and husband, Michael of Greenwood; nine great-grandchildren, Stormie Partee, Taylor McKee, Nicole de Anda, Nicolas de Anda, Chase de Anda, Brandon Sanders, Kayla Sanders, Nichele Raines and Katelynn Raines; one great-great-grandchild, Graham Partee; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and three sisters.The family suggests memorials be made to Compass Hospice, 1003 E.
