Haydee Chesnut

Haydee Chesnut, 62 of Peru, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Memorial services will be Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Iglesia Jehova Proveera (2707 S CR-1180, Midland, TX 79706). Visitation is at 1:00 P.M. and Funeral Service will immediately follow at 2:00 P.M.

Other memorial services will be in East Texas

Visitation is at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Chapel in the Woods (500 PR 7993 FM 2869, Winnsboro, Texas, 75494).

Burial Service is at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Rosewood Park Cemetery (1884 Farm to Market Rd 1844, Longview, TX 75605).

Haydee was born on May 23, 1961 in Tallara, Peru to José and Fidela Rondoy Barreto. She graduated from La Brea-Negritos All Girls School class of 1977 and went on to earn 2 associates degrees, one in Peru and another from Kilgore College. She was a Secretary for BJ Hughes in Peru, a teacher at Trinity School of Texas, teacher’s aid at Gilmer High School and cashier at Walmart Store #608. Haydee especially enjoyed her grandchildren, family and her church.

Haydee was a beloved Mother, Grandmother “Lita”, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend. She is survived by children Rozella Chesnut and husband Cody Anderson, Pamela Schelhouse and husband Charley, and Paul Chesnut, Lita to Camilla Anderson, Tucker Schelhouse, Chesley Anderson, Wyatt Schelhouse, Cannon Schelhouse, and Lola Chesnut, and Sibling to José y René Rondoy Pingo, Edita, Leonor, René, Jorge, Roxana, and Wilfredo Rondoy Barreto and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Haydee was preceded in death by her parents; sister Meche Rondoy de Cespedes and brother Roberto Rondoy Barreto. 

The family would like to express their gratitude towards Dr. Phillip Chae and the Allison Cancer Center staff, Home Hospice, Iglesia Jehova Proveera, Chapel in the Woods, Walmart Associates at store #608, Midland Fire Department (Community Health Paramedic Program) and friends.
