Harold Max Fitzhugh, 86, a retired manager of the Federal Landbank Association, died on Friday, June 7, 2002, in Fort Worth. Graveside funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 10, 2002 at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, June 10, 2002, at the First United Methodist Church in Lamesa with Rev. David Black, pastor, officiating. He was born on October 7, 1915 in Tolar, Texas. Mr. Fitzhugh was a graduate of Tolar High School and Texas A & M University with a degree in Agriculture. After graduation, he taught agriculture and was a county agent in Garden City and Eldorado. He was an active member of the University Methodist Church during his life, particularly during his 31 years in Lamesa. He was also a longtime Rotarian. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Myrl Bryans Fitzhugh; children, Bryans Fitzhugh, and his wife, Brenda of Fort Worth, and Annelle Gault, and her husband, Jimmy of Sterling City; grandchildren, Andy Fitzhugh, and his wife, Kristin of Fort Worth, Matt Fitzhugh of Frisco, Mylia Roan, and her husband, Jared of Waxahachie, and Ashlee Gault of Abilene; one brother, Henry A. Fitzhugh, and his wife, Della of San Antonio; and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church in Lamesa or to the Senior Citizen Center of Lamesa. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring.
