Harold A. King, 80, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, July 17, 2005, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel Big Spring with Rev. Herb McPherson, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park Big Spring.The family will receive friends from 7 PM to 8:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.He was born on February 5, 1925, in Edna, Texas and married Virginia Stephens on September 6, 1945 in Big Spring, Texas.Harold had been a longtime resident of Big Spring. He worked at various jobs in construction throughout his life. He had served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Virginia King of Big Spring; one daughter & son-in-law, Hazel and Earnest Rudd of Dangerfield; one sister, Eunice Harris of Conroe; a sister-in-law, Jewel Hurdle of Humble; two grandchildren, Randy Rudd of Texarkana and Neshia Rudd of Tyler; and two great grandchildren, Molly Rudd and Mallory Rudd.The family suggests memorials to the charity of choice.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
