Hansel O. Kincaid, 85, of Midland passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Mabee Healthcare Center in Midland.Graveside services will be at 9:00 AM Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Resthaven Memorial Park. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Dyer and Rev. Bob Hopkins officiating. Hansel was born on March 15, 1922 in Marietta, Georgia to William Oran and Lula Lorena Harmon Kincaid. He graduated from Pensacola High School in 1938, and graduated from Tulane University's College of Commerce and Business Administration in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1949. He was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma National Honorary Business Fraternity and graduated with the highest four-year average of his graduating class. In 1949, he also passed the examination to become a Certified Public Accountant. Hansel Kincaid served in the 204th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion of the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942 to 1945. He saw action in France, Belgium, and Germany and was discharged honorably with rank of Sergeant. He married Dorothy Meyer on December 21, 1947 in Longview, and they moved to Midland in 1951 from New Orleans. He was then associated with Hendrix, Newkirk & Whitley, CPAs in Midland and opened his own practice in 1967 in Midland serving many clients in the Midland area as their Certified Public Accountant. He was a member of the American Institute and Texas Society of CPAs. Hansel was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and comptroller for over 40 years. Hansel is survived by his wife, Dorothy Kincaid of Midland; niece, Tanya Thompson of Sun City, California; and 2 nephews, Robert Kincaid and wife Sheri of Scurry, Texas and Don Tucker of Oldenburg, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 1 brother, James Roland Kincaid.The family would like to thank Manor Park for their special care, First Baptist Church Family, and the many friends they have met over the years.Memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church Foundation, PO Box 5485, Midland, Texas 79704, the Church's Library Fund or to a charity of your choice.,
