MN1 Gregory (Greg) Reeves, a 10 year Navy veteran and 6 year resident of Midland, TX passed away peacefully on September 2, 2021. Born March 24, 1969 to Patricia Sue and Jerry Reeves in Longview, TX. Greg was an only child and the apple of their eye. During his time in the Navy he met Brandy Davis and it was love at first sight. They married February 21, 1998. Greg and Brandy travelled extensively, eventually living in Japan where Greg profoundly served on the USS Patriot as a mine man. On Oct 10, 1998 Greg became the proud father of Anthony Wayne Reeves. Then on June 17, 2001 Jazlynn Marie Reeves was born and he once again gleamed with Joy. Greg was an amazing father and husband, always putting them first.
Greg’s spiritual light and personality brought everyone he met extensive happiness. He was a bit of a jokester he kept people smiling, but had no reservations about giving someone a shoulder to cry on. He will be extremely missed.

Greg is survived by his wife of 23 years Brandy Reeves, his children Anthony Reeves and Jazlynn Reeves, his parents Patricia and Jerry Reeves.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday September 8, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel.

To the Reeves Family, I’m stunned by this news. I’m so very sorry for your loss. I would like to express my deepest sympathy on the passing of MN1 Reeves. He was a great man and may he have an eternity in Heaven with God. I served with him on the USS Patriot (MCM7). I appreciate everything he did for us guys onboard. He is an amazing person. He loved his family, his country, and his fellow sailors. I am honored to have known him and served under him. You will be missed brother!

I was very lucky to have met Greg in Yuma, AZ. He was one of my best friends on 25th Lane! The best times was playing Dungeons and Dragons for hours on end during the summer months. I loved our rivalry of football teams between Kofa High and Yuma High. I am glad I stayed in contact with Greg throughout the years. He will be greatly missed. Love ya little buddy!
