Grady Walker, 74, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, August 23, 2001, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, August 27, 2001, at the First Baptist Church of Big Spring under the Auspices of Salem Baptist Church. Assisting will be Rev. Albert Pettus, retired Baptist minister. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery. He was born on July 15, 1927 in Howard County, Texas and married Billie Jean Gross on November 26, 1947 in Big Spring, Texas. Mr. Walker was a lifetime resident of the Big Spring area. He had worked for McGibbon Oil Company and the Bill Wilson Oil Company for 30 years. He had owned and operated Grady Walker LP Gas Company for 13 years until retiring. He had also farmed for many years. He was a member and deacon of Salem Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Western Drifters Good Sam Travel Club, a member of the Triple L Club at First Baptist Church and loved to play dominos. Survivors include his wife, Billie Jean Walker of Big Spring; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Arlis and Sherry Walker of Kyle and Tim Walker of Kerrville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ramona and Gus Eckert of Midland and Twila and Kerry Denson of Amarillo; grandsons, Charles Denson of Amarillo, Tye Laquey of Brownwood and Taggart Walker of Kyle; granddaughters, LaDonna (Denson) Smith and husband, Jeremy, of Gautier, Mississippi, Danielle Walker of Kyle and Tammy Shumate of Florida; his sister, Wilma Cashion of Big Spring; his brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Marion Walker of Big Spring; two aunts, Stella Brooks of Big Spring and Lillie Robinson of Midland; a special nephew and his wife, Glen and Kaye Holley of Big Spring and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family suggests donations be made to a charity of choice. The family will be at 324 Davis Road. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.,
